Hello Again, it’s been a while! I’ve been pretty quiet on twitter and on my blog, only really putting the occasional post on my Instagram page, come and check it out if you don’t follow me over there!
However, I’ve had the items and photos for this post since December last year so it’s about time I got on and wrote the post. As I may have mentioned…I went on my first ever trip to America last year to go to Orlando and visit Walt Disney World, you can read all about that on my week 1 and week 2 trip reports if you’re interested! Anyway, I could not resist a few shopping trips, Walgreens, Target, Ulta and of course Sephora were all visited, some definitely more than once! I definitely didn’t go crazy (I had to save some money for that Disney merch of course) but saw a few things I really wanted to pick up. A couple of these items my boyfriend Rich kindly got me for christmas presents, but I wanted to include everything in this post.
First up, palettes! I finally treated myself to an Anastasia Beverly Hills Palette (I know we can get these in the UK but I was on holiday and wanting to treat myself!) They are all stunning but I love purple so in the end I chose the Norvina Palette. I’ve used it several times now and love it, there’s definitely a couple of more odd shades in there though that aren’t great. I’m keen to now get my hands on the soft glam palette though, the quality is just stunning.
Next up a couple of Sephora minis! I honestly loved this section of Sephora and great for trying new products too! I got a mini Natasha Denona palette which I was so excited for! They had a couple of different colours and I went for the Sunset palette as the shades are super easy and wearable for every day. I then got the Tarte Tartlette Flirt palette which is also a mini with 6 beautiful shades in. Keeping on the theme of Tarte for one more item, when I was in Ulta I made sure I finally got my hands on the shape tape concealer! Totally after all the hype has gone but I can’t wait to try this out.
Again I know you get Fenty in the UK (only in Harvey Nichols I believe) but again I just loved the mini items in Sephora. I got this great set with the Gloss Bomb and a Killawatt highlighter. Since trying this I LOVE the lipgloss, so shiny but not sticky. The highlight I could take or leave though, it’s good but pretty standard.
I also picked up a couple of sets of the Sephora brand facemasks, both the sheet and the clay masks. I am absolutely hoarding facemasks at the moment so I’m still yet to try either of them out! Last up, it took a little bit of searching in the drugstore, but I found the Physicians Formula Butter bronzer! I have heard so many good things about this product and I cannot wait to try it, so happy I got my hands on one!
Super happy with all my American purchases and I’ve loved everything I tried so far. I’ll just be over here in England waiting for them to open a Sephora or Ulta…
Talk soon! x
